The Bon Temps Krewe: Mardi Gras 2026 Recap
February 19, 2026
This past weekend, The Bon Temps Krewe marked our 30th year participating in the Pensacola Mardi Gras Parade. As we reflect on our humble beginnings with our first float in 1996, it is clear to see just how big our love for the Mardi Gras season has blossomed into a true production.

The events commenced on Friday night as our Downtown office transformed into a kickoff tailgate with front-row seats to the Night Parade. We found the biggest tent available and filled it with all of our staff, family, and friends. The kids enjoyed their own area, complete with a bounce house, slushies, and every glow-in-the-dark accessory on the market.

The main event on Friday was the decorating of our parade float and stage. The corporate office teamed up and completed each section of the float in record time, and the party never stopped! Special thanks to our Mardi Gras Committee, whose members have a combined total of over 80 parades spent with the krewe.

Once the float was decorated and the sun had set, it was time to eat! Our most loyal and most festive, Mike Patterson, pulled out all the stops to cook a buffet of traditional Cajun cuisine that was thoroughly enjoyed. We would also like to send our gratitude to Patterson and his team for taking care of the maintenance and storage of our float in the off-season.

The next morning, it was the moment we had all been waiting for - The Grand Pensacola Mardi Gras Parade. The day was spent enjoying live music by Fred Domulot and the Pierogi Gang, a full bar with lunch provided by Acopia Mortgage and Rhonda Faulk brought her famous Hurricanes.

Adams Homes has staked our claim as the official Countdown sponsor and holds the honor of the lead float in the parade. With over 4,000 pounds of beads and throws at the ready, the crowd was happy to see us coming. As the parade came to an end and all the beads were thrown, we knew what we had to do next: keep tradition alive by closing out the night at Seville.

Plans for next year have already begun, and we are on track to grow bigger and better every year. Make sure you come and see us for Mardi Gras 2027, The Bon Temps Krewe isn't one to miss!
