35 Years of Adams Homes: Building the Legacy
April 22, 2026
The month of April has always been an exciting time for the company. The sun is shining, contracts are closing, and the team is reflecting on another year of home building. This year, we celebrate 35 Years in the industry. Since 1991, we have grown from humble beginnings in the Florida Panhandle into a trusted and respected builder serving the Southeastern United States.
Our Core Principles, instilled by our late Founder, Wayne Adams, have carried us far and garnered life-changing opportunities for our team members.
- You’re only as good as the people with whom you surround yourself
- Keep it simple
- Treat people as you would want to be treated
Throughout our time as a company, we have had many great leaders come and go, and we thank everyone who has played a part in shaping Adams Homes into what we see today. Special thanks to our Regional Managers and Admin Leadership, who collectively have over 200 years of loyal service to the company. The dedication and experience of our seasoned members are admired by many and provide an inspiring example for the next class of Adams Homes employees.
One thing to know about Adams Homes is that we embody the "work hard, play hard" mentality. Wayne Adams would frequently treat the office to a day trip over to Biloxi, MS, to try their luck at the casino or to tag along for the fun. When the weather was too nice to be in the office, the team would hit the water and enjoy a day of boating along the beautiful Gulf coast.
In recent years, the events we look forward to most are our annual Christmas Party and Mardi Gras Parade. Every December, the Production and Sales Managers make the trip down to the corporate office for a 2-day training session. After that, it is time to celebrate the year's hard work and the holiday season at the Christmas Party, where the team enjoys a live band and everything else that makes it an Adams party! We then anxiously await the Grand Mardi Gras Parade right here in Downtown Pensacola. After a year of preparation, the Bushwackers and Hurricanes can't come fast enough.
It's all these things that make Adams Homes, Adams Homes. When you build a legacy, you aren't doing it for yourself; you are doing it for future generations that are coming to carry the torch. We can proudly say that the torch our late founder Wayne Adams lit is still burning brightly. Let's all raise a glass to Adams Homes and hang on for the ride! Cheers to 35 Years
