Great Housewarming Gift Ideas for Friends, Family, or Neighbors

A monogrammed gift is a great way to personalize and is a meaningful way to make a simple housewarming gift something a little extra special. You can monogram bath towels/hand towels, dish towels and sheet sets. You can even monogram soap and wine glasses. Monogrammed housewarming gifts are a great way to jazz up your everyday housewarming gift by making it a little more personal and meaningful.
If the person you are gifting to is great with plants and has a green thumb plants are a great personal gift to give. Whether it is a plant they can plant in there yard or a potted plant for the house, a plant is a great gift for someone who enjoys gardening to remember you by. If it’s a plant for the yard make sure it is native for your area/region. Herb garden trio for the kitchen are also a great gift to give and even does double duty for someone with a green thumb and someone who has a passion for cooking as well.
Orchids are one of my favorite flowers to give as a housewarming gift. They can last for several months and they are very low-maintenance. My trick for keeping them alive is 3 icecubes every 10 days or so. How easy is that? Even someone with a black thumb like myself can keep that alive!
Luxury candles/High-end toiletries:
A great housewarming gift you can never go wrong gifting is either a luxury candle(s) or some great high end toiletries. Luxury/decorative candle(s) are a great housewarming gift. It’s that small little touch that can make your home warm and inviting. When a new homeowner/couple or family moves into their new home small little touches of stuff such as a luxury/decorative candle(s) can really make there new house feel like a home.
Now we all are in need the basic toiletries when we move into our new home (ex. Kitchen sprays, dish soap, hand soap, hand lotion, etc.) A fun way to jazz up basic toiletries items is to go high end with calming and warming scents to make a new bland house inviting and welcoming for its new homeowner(s). We are always in need of the basics and going luxury/high end with warming and inviting scents is a great way to make a simple housewarming gift something special to a new homeowner(s) by helping their new house feel more like a home.
Wine/Liquor and accessories:
One of the most popular housewarming gifts that you can find when searching for gift ideas, is wine/liquor and accessories. Make sure the person you are gifting to drinks wine or liquor before you give a gift involving alcohol.
Entertaining supplies/Kitchen supplies:
Once a new homeowner(s) moves into their home, they have all this new great entertaining space you better believe there will be some dinner parties and/or sports viewing get-togethers going on. So a great housewarming gift to help the new homeowner/couple or family that loves to entertain is serving pieces and/or kitchen supplies. Kitchen supplies are always a good gift for the new homeowner(s) with excellent cooking skills who loves to through dinner parties. Serving pieces are a great gift that is always needed for any new homeowner(s) who loves to entertain.
For Families/get playful:
The perfect housewarming gift for any family with kids of any age can be as simple as going back to basics with board games (ex. Monopoly, Twister, Clue, Pictionary, Scrabble, Scene It!, Yahtzee, etc.) Board games can seem a bit dated, but in all reality is a great way to come together as a family and interact with each other, to let your guard down, to just have fun and enjoy spending that much needed time with one another. It may seem old fashion but board games are the perfect way to connect with your family. This makes board games a top pick in housewarming gifts for all families of any size/age.
What do you love to give for a housewarming gift? Do you prefer to give baked goods to welcome neighbors or bring to friends or family that are settling in their new home?
