Need help eliminating red-wine spills or those impossible set-in carpet stains? Here are two excellent techniques that will eliminate both.
If you’re anything like me, I am always on the lookout for the latest and greatest cleaning tips and tricks. So, naturally, I turn to the handy dandy internet and Google the best cleaning tips and tricks.
When I stumbled upon these two carpet cleaning techniques I had to share them with you.
A glass of red wine may be good for your heart but is bad news for your carpet.
Have a red-wine stain? Apply a dab of foaming shaving cream over the red-wine stain. Then, use the curved side of a spoon to work it evenly over the stain. Use a clean white cloth, dampened with warm water and gently scrub away the stain as needed.
Stubborn Carpet Stains:
Have a stubborn set-in carpet stain? Try using 1 part Blue Dawn Dishwashing Liquid, 2 parts Hydrogen Peroxide, mix them together and pour into a spray bottle. Then, simply aim and squirt onto the stubborn set-in stain. Gently scrub away the stain with a clean white cloth dampened in warm water. Then let air dry and viola, goodbye stubborn carpet stain.
Have a great cleaning tip or trick you would like to share?
