Baked Parmesan Tomato Recipe

Baked Parmesan Tomato Recipe

Looking for a tasty recipe for your summer cook-outs? Look no further.

I found this recipe from one of my favorite websites, Pinterest.  I love tomatoes and this dish was so delish, I was inspired to start a back-yard garden and grow my own.  I haven’t mastered a green thumb yet but the recipe was too good not to share.

I served these as an appetizer but I think it would be perfect with some sizzling steaks and fresh corn-on-the-cob.  These tasty tomatoes sliced could also be the layered in country toast for a yummy lunch sandwich.  Chances are you have most of the ingredients needed on hand right now.

Active Time:   5 minutes

Total Time:   20 minutes

·         4 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil

1.     Preheat oven to 450° F.

2.     Place tomatoes cut-side up on a baking sheet. Top with Parmesan, oregano, salt and pepper.  Drizzle with oil and bake until the tomatoes are tender, about 15 minutes.

Here is how my version of the completed recipe.  So simple. So delicious.
