This is the perfect time of the year to start preparing for the spring gardening season. With the on-set of cooler temperatures brings fall savings. Stock up on tools and other items and materials you will need this spring while there still discounted.

There is no better time than the fall months to build your compost with all of the great autumn leaves. This is also an excellent time to mulch. Be sure to apply a layer of mulch around your newly planted shrubs and trees.

To help prepare your lawn for the winter months, continue to mow and water your lawn until it stops growing. When the temperature drops into the 40s, make sure to move your tropical plants and subtropical plants indoors.
