3 non-toxic DIY cleaning products

non-toxic DIY cleaning productsLove a clean home, but hate the thought of using harsh chemicals?  Well here are three great non-toxic DIY cleaning products:

  1. Cleaning grubby grout – Mix 1 cup of dish soap and 1 cup of heated white vinegar, then pour into a spray bottle.  Shake it well, then spray lightly and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
Next, scrub the grout with a brush, it’ll take some elbow grease, then wipe up with a wet cloth.  Lastly, when you’re done, rinse away all residue with plain hot water, for a squeaky clean shin.
  2. Just about anywhere cleaner – this cleaner works great for laminate and tile flooring. Mix equal parts water, vinegar, and alcohol.  Next, add two to three drops of dish soap and 10 to 15 drops of your favorite essential oils to cover up the vinegar scent. Finally, use the cleaner in a fine-mist spray bottle and wipe it off with microfiber cloth.
  3. Cut through grease – Make your kitchen surfaces shine with this DIY granite countertop cleaner.  First, mix a ¼ cup of rubbing alcohol with 2 cups of water in a spray bottle.  Next, add three to five drops of dish soap, and five to 10 drops of essential oils for fragrance.  Spritz your countertops, then wipe down with a microfiber cloth.  Bye Bye grease!
