As pet owners, we all know our little furry buddies like to beg for our table food and occasionally we may tend to slip them a bite or two.

Did you know that your nice gesture of just a bite or two of table food could really be more harmful to your pet than you thought?

Before you slip your pets anymore table scraps, read this list on “20 Poisonous Household Foods for Your Pets” and you may re-consider giving your four-legged friend anymore of your table food.


  1. Alcoholic Beverages
  2. Artificial Sweetener **Xylitol** (Found in gum, candy, bakery items, toothpaste and diet foods)
  3. Avocados
  4. Caffeine
  5. Chives
  6. Chocolate
  7. Coffee
  8. Currants
  9. Eggs
  10. Garlic
  11. Grapes
  12. Leeks
  13. Macadamia Nuts
  14. (Raw/Undercooked) Meats
  15. Milk
  16. Mushrooms
  17. Onions & Onion Powder
  18. Raisins
  19. Salt
  20. Yeast dough/uncooked bread

Make sure to double check this list so you’re not feeding your pets anything that could be harmful or toxic to them!
