5-Minute Cherry Cheesecake Dipcherry-cheesecake-dip-recipe

By: Elizabeth Porter

I am not too skilled on main entrees but give me an appetizer or dessert and I am there.  This cherry cheesecake dip calls for just four ingredients and can be ready in about five minutes. I have made it twice now and it may be one of my new favorite recipes.   I am always on the look-out for new recipes that are easy to make and require just a few ingredients.  I also love this particular one because it leaves lots of room to swap out ingredients per season or event.

I used cherries as my topping but am excited to try this recipe with both the strawberry or peach topping and maybe even the apple topping I saw on the shelf.

I used graham crackers for dipping but think vanilla wafers would work just as well.

 Ingredients:

Cool whip topping

No-Bake Cheesecake Mix

Fruit filling/Pie topping - canned (I used cherry)

Cookie for dipping, I used graham crackers

Directions:

Let the cool whip topping thaw just enough that you can fold in the cheesecake mix.  I slowly folded in the mix right in the cool whip bowl so I could easily transport it to the party I was going to.  Once I got there, I transferred it to the bowl we served from.

Lastly, add the fruit topping.  If you are not sure you will eat all of it at once, I would serve the cool whip in a bowl and add the fruit topping as needed, that way what isn’t used doesn’t get runny.

Spread the crackers or cookies for dipping.  We had it on the counter for a couple hours without a problem.  In fact, once it thawed some, it was easier to dip.

Enjoy!

Hi Lynn. I sprinkled the graham cracker crust across the top of the finished dip for garnish. Just use the cheesecake dry mix for the recipe.

Do you put the graham cracker package into the mix also? Or is it just the cheesecake filling mix?

I would try it. I have added pumpkin puree to cool whip and it worked. I also tried some pudding dry mixes for different flavors and they have all worked.

Can I use the ready to eat cheesecake filling? I have that and whipped topping?

If I use the 12 oz container of cool whip, how much cheesecake mix do you think I should use?

Yes! It can be made a day ahead of time. I would wait to add the cherries on top until you are ready to serve

Can this be made a day ahead as long as we keep it cold?

I got the smaller size, the 8 oz tub.
Another variation of the recipe I found is to add a can of pumpkin instead of cherry and instead of cheesecake mix, use a small box of vanilla pudding mix stirred in. It was delicious too!

Do you happen to recall what size Cool Whip you used? Thanks!

Great question...just add the powder to the container of Cool Whip. I added it a little at a time so that the powder wasn't messy.
Good luck! You will love it
