Monogrammed gifts:
A monogrammed gift is a great way to personalize and is a meaningful way to make a simple housewarming gift something a little extra special. You can monogram bath towels/hand towels, dish towels and sheet sets. You can even monogram soap and wine glasses. Monogrammed housewarming gifts are a great way to jazz up your everyday housewarming gift by making it a little more personal and meaningful.
Something Green:
If the person you are gifting to is great with plants and has a green thumb plants are a great personal gift to give. Whether it is a plant they can plant in there yard or a potted plant for the house, a plant is a great gift for someone who enjoys gardening to remember you by. If it’s a plant for the yard make sure it is native for your area/region. Herb garden trio for the kitchen are also a great gift to give and even does double duty for someone with a green thumb and someone who has a passion for cooking as well.
Orchids are one of my favorite flowers to give as a housewarming gift. They can last for several months and they are very low-maintenance. My trick for keeping them alive is 3 icecubes every 10 days or so. How easy is that? Even someone with a black thumb like myself can keep that alive!
Spring is here. It's time to pack up and secure your winter home and head to your original homebase. Before you shutter everything up, there are things you can do to protect your identity and home from damages from robbers, break-ins and other vandals while you're away. According to Kevin Coffey, a scholar of thievery, many home burglaries occur on the ground floor. The burglar will usually enter at the rear or side door. The second most common access point is through the garage. Most burglaries happen during the daytime when homes are empty, and when the homeowners are at work.
In addition to securing your documents and finances, look into affordable gadgets and tips to ensure your house will still be around to enjoy for many more vacations to come.

Baby, it’s cold outside! Do the winter blues have the best of you? If you answered, “Yes,” there is a surefire cure for this awful illness.
Seriously, I know these things. I’m a doctor. Okay, surprise, surprise. I’m no doctor; however, I guarantee that taking a staycation will heal your ailments. Here are some great staycation ideas:
1) Explore your city. Put on your tourist face, and go to the localart museum, or that new restaurant you haven’t yet tried, take a cooking class,(or whatever tickles your fancy), go to a local sporting event, whatever it may be. Do the things that you are always too busy to do. Fall in love with your hometown all over again.
